Discreet Appearance And Improved Comfort

Unlike the clunky metal braces you’re accustomed to, Invisalign clear aligners are comfortable and discreet. Unless someone looks closely at your smile, they may not even notice you’re wearing them. Another benefit is that you don’t have to worry about sharp metal wires or brackets digging into your cheeks and causing sores.

You may feel some pressure when you get a new set of aligners, but you shouldn’t be in pain. Some patients also feel discomfort from the plastic edges. If you experience this problem, you can simply file the rough edge down until the aligners fit comfortably in your mouth.

Effective Technology

Invisalign is designed to treat a host of dental problems, including:

Invisalign is an excellent option for many people who want a straighter, more attractive smile. However, Invisalign may not be the best option in every case. If you have severely rotated teeth, for example, you may achieve better results from conventional braces. And in some cases, we may recommend Invisalign attachments (small, tooth-colored pieces) along with the aligners.

Frequently Asked Questions.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the correct position. Each aligner is worn for 1–2 weeks before moving to the next in the series. As an Invisalign Premier Provider, Dr. Valdes at Galloway Dental Care creates a precise digital treatment plan so you can see your projected results before you even begin.

Most Invisalign treatments take between 12 and 18 months, though some patients see results in as little as 6 months depending on the complexity of their case. During your consultation at Galloway Dental Care, Dr. Valdes will give you a personalized timeline based on your specific needs.

For best results, aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing and flossing. Consistent wear is the most important factor in staying on schedule.

Invisalign is highly effective for mild to moderate orthodontic issues including crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites, and crossbites. For more complex cases, traditional braces may be recommended. Dr. Valdes will evaluate your bite and alignment during your free consultation to determine the best option for you.

Once your teeth have reached their final position, you'll be fitted with a retainer to maintain your results. Wearing your retainer as directed is essential — without it, teeth can gradually shift back over time.
